Nervous System Reset: Yoga for Resilience (1.5h Online Live Event)

What to expect

  • Gentle, floor-based stretches followed by an extended practice of slowing down both body and mind: as we grow slower, we'll incorporate yin (deep stretches), restorative (highly supported postures), pranayama (breath) and yoga nidra (guided meditation).
  • We're nudging our nervous system from the the sympathetic nervous system response into the parasympathetic rest and relax response. In other words, we're moving from anxiety, brain fog and burnout into calm, presence and connection.
  • Opportunity to share a sacred online space with community to build nervous system resilience and cultivate self-compassion.

The finer details

  • Online live stream event: register for the link to participate live via Microsoft Teams. You'll receive the link to join the event in your booking confirmation email.
  • Available to watch or replay up to 1 month after the event: you'll receive a replay link via email once it's available.
  • Fear not if you hate technology! Shoot me a message or give me a buzz if you get stuck - 0434 914 490. And remember the deep calm that awaits you once you get over the tech barrier for the first time.
  • Please join the online link 5-15 minutes early and remember that even on the best days, it can take a bit of time to log in online and I'll be there early if you have questions!
  • Cameras and speaking before and after are optional and not required to feel connected with the group. But if you're comfortable to, I'd love to see your face at the start and end.
  • Pregnancy or injury: please consult a health care professional as needed. This class should be suitable for most people, but if you're pregnant or have a condition you're managing, please get in touch with me at info@yogawithverity.com.au and I can let you know if there's anything specific to avoid or adapt.

What you'll need

  • 2x bed pillows (high-loft preferred)
  • 2x cushions
  • 1x large blanket
  • Pen and paper to jot down thoughts as they arise during or after the practice
