7 Min Meditation - Extended Exhale to Slow Down and Feel Calm

This meditation invites you into presence and explores the use of a long exhale to stimulate the parasympathetic rest and digest response in our nervous system. When our stress response is activated from any number of stressors in our day, sometimes our body forgets to return to a calm state once the stressor has passed. Lengthening the exhale lets our body know we are safe.

Note: if you're feeling particularly depleted, tired or numb - you may prefer to skip this one and try a meditation or yoga video where we keep the exhales even (diaphragmatic / yogic breath).
