20 Min Relax and Restore – Surfboard Pose for Lower Back and Psoas Release

Hello and welcome to this soothing restorative yoga practice.

You might find this practice useful if you’re feeling bound up in stress, anxiety and overwhelm, or perhaps you’re feeling completely burnt out.

The idea is to invite your body back into a state of equilibrium where you’ll feel more calm and equipped to manage whatever life is throwing at you right now.

EQUIPMENT

Grab a bolster or 1-2 firm pillows like the ones you would sleep on – the longer the better to support the trunk of your body. You can also use a few folded blankets instead. In addition, make sure you have an extra blanket to place under your forehead.

A restorative practice like this helps to soothe your nervous system and ultimately provide you more mental clarity for better decision making and so you can be more present and patient with your loved ones.
